Projects
enke: Make Your Mark advances its mission through innovative, experiential and engaging programming targeted to youth from all socioeconomic backgrounds. Our programmes are targeted to high school and university students, giving young people access to extensive training and support to help these young South Africans become the drivers of change in their community and the world. 1. enke: Youth Award: a nine-month programme where Grade 11 learners develop their personal leadership skills. Participants are empowered to harness their potential and challenged to inspire & empower others in their own community to do the same. The Youth Award is made up of 3 components: the enke: Forum (a week of training and inspiration), Community Action Projects (development and implementation of youth-led projects by participants) and Support & Recognition (supporting and recognizing the work of our participants. In 2012 this programme will be running in Johannesburg and Cape Town. 2. enke: Ignition Project: Launched in 2011, the enke: Ignition Project is an exclusive programme for tertiary students. This programme connects exceptional young people with a diverse, active network of change-makers, equips them with skills and experience to increase employability, and inspires entrepreneurial thinking. In 2012 the programme will be running in both Johannesburg and Cape Town.
