Vision
A world in which all children can be children.
Mission
To create opportunities for vulnerable children to realise their potential through inspirational, memorable and fun experiences. We believe in ‘What a difference a day makes’ in the lives of disadvantaged children as well as in those who spend that day with them, sparking imagination, initiative and a sense of possibility in both. We approach this from 2 angles: 1) To provide vulnerable children with opportunities to play, to learn, to be inspired and feel cared for in environments that are ordinarily inaccessible to them. 2). To offer youth and adults from diverse backgrounds fun and accessible experiences that encourages further engagement with social upliftment activities

Projects
Fun Day Programme partners with children’s homes, community centres, health and institutional centres, along with other non-profit organisations; to allow youth an opportunity to experience a “Fun Day”. These days allow children recreational activity and a range of experiences, in new or less familiar environments. The goal of a “Fun Day” is to inspire and motivate these children through fun, joy, hope, and diversity, to overcome their circumstances and learn more about the world they live in. These opportunities have provided wonderful experiences for individuals and corporate teams to engage in fun and easy ways with these populations, while making an impact purely through their time and energy. The Fun Day Programme can also provide safe opportunities for emerging youth leaders to develop a sense of responsibility and interpersonal skills, while being a positive role model for younger children. Fun Days are unique and diverse in activity. They have run the gamut and exposed underserved youth to recreational, cultural, and educational experiences such as:  Karate on Hout Bay Beach  Boat trip to Seal Island  Drumming lessons in Green Points Botanical Gardens  Sea Life Exploration at the Waterfront Aquarium The Sisanda Circles Programme aims to broaden the impact of Fun Days into longer-lasting activities or projects. So often, during the course of a Fun Day, children express a specific need or an interest in learning a new skill. At the same time, our volunteers commonly leave our Fun Days wanting to do more. The new Sisanda Circles Programme helps to create long-term activities which meet the needs and interest of both groups. These circles may include working with a small group of children to provide art, music or dance classes, or setting up a hiking, movie or theatre club. The duration of these activities can range from weekend-long workshops to meetings at regular intervals. The ideas and opportunities for the Sisanda Circles Programme are endless.
